Micah 7:7-9
The Light of the World
Here in Micah we get a battle plan for hard times.
Verse 7: Cry out to the LORD and wait expectantly
Verse 8: Denounce Satan & acknowledge that the Light is
the only way out of darkness
Verse 9: Look inward – confess sin against a Holy God and
our inability to rescue ourselves
The cry for salvation or deliverance is a steady theme
throughout the bible. We send out this same cry for help in
the midst of difficult relationships or work conditions,
financial turmoil or when we wrestle with sin. From the
beginning of time mankind has recognized the need for
someone to rescue them. Jesus came to our ultimate
rescue when He was born in a manger, lived a sinless life,
died for our sins, and defeated death by rising from the
grave! Though we live in a dark world, the LORD is our Light.
What emotions, pains, or actions do you try to keep hidden
from Him and others? Recognize and denounce spiritual
warfare, out loud, and lay your heart bare before the Light
of the world who took away your sins.
