Worship the King
One of the main goals or themes of the Gospel of Matthew is to show the people of Israel, and the people of the world, that Jesus is the long-awaited King of the Jews. Not only that, but he is in fact the gracious King of the universe who has come to rescue his people by becoming like them and dying in their place. The story of the wise men in Matthew 2 should inspire us to worship the King; 1) the King who calls 2) the King who confounds, and 3) the King who compels.

A little child was born to insignificant parents, in an insignificant village in Israel and in an insignificant moment in the history of the Roman empire. BUT, that baby was the fulfilment of the prophecy made by Isaiah about 700 years prior to His birth
