The Valley of the Shadow of Death

Valleys are inevitable in this life. We all go through them. They can range from a deep darkness brought on by physical sickness, a mental or emotional struggle, a spiritual drought, a relational wound, a disappointing loss, or even the approach of death itself. As painful as these dark times can be, they can also be a gift, because in the valley is when we realize our own weakness and when we draw closer to the Good Shepherd.
